CLEWISTON, FL – The Sugar Express is excited to announce a series of special train rides to coincide with the Clewiston Sugar Festival, which is Florida’s largest annual celebration on March 16th. Click here for tickets.
That afternoon, visitors to Clewiston can ride behind Sugar Express steam locomotive no. 148 as it operates the SUGARFEST LOCAL, two, one-hour long roundtrip train rides from Clewiston. These Sugarfest Local trains are a great opportunity for folks who have never ridden behind a real steam locomotive to experience history in action!
SUGARFEST LOCAL – featuring Sugar Express steam locomotive
$30.00 per person. Children 3 and under and not occupying a seat ride free.
Departing from 900 WC Owen Avenue, these one-hour trips will offer guests a ride aboard a vintage passenger train through the surrounding sugarcane fields.
