Sugar Express will operate steam-powered train rides between Clewiston and Moore Haven in South Central Florida on April 9th and 10th. These two-hour roundtrips will depart Clewiston at 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Click here to get notified when sales begin.

Each trip will feature vintage steam locomotive No. 148 and its first-class passenger train and a narrated tour of US Sugar farming operations amidst views of the Florida countryside. Souvenirs and concessions will be available for purchase onboard. Cash will not be accepted and ticket receipts will be emailed for parking and boarding information.
Tickets are $48.00 per person and sales start at 6 PM on March 16th at sugarexpress.com. The train consist will include one dining car, one open-air car, and a limited number of lounge seating options. Seats are not assigned and available on a first-come, first-serve basis during boarding.
Parking and boarding will take place at Basilian Cres and South Deane Duff Avenue, Clewiston, Florida. For best seating options, arrive early for boarding.
“We’re looking forward to seeing more of our friends from the region experience these historic train rides. No. 148 has already proven it will draw visitors in from around the country, and we want our neighbors to get an opportunity to enjoy what’s coming from the Sugar Express,” explained Scott Ogle, Operations Manager.
The 148’s inaugural run late last year drew in passengers from six different states. Additional trips this May are being considered as part of US Sugar’s annual End of Harvest celebration.
