Whistle Off On Your Weekend
Happy Hour On Wheels
Step aboard the Sugar Express Sunset & Suds and enjoy a spirited two-hour journey through South Central Florida’s sugarcane country. Departing in the late afternoon from Clewiston, this adults-only excursion is timed to start your weekend early, just as the setting sun paints the rural fields and skies in brilliant color.
Beverages are available for purchase onboard (credit/debit only). Train departures are timed for optimal evening light. Group bookings are available.
As the excursion winds through local farmland, guests can indulge in Sugar Express’s new onboard bar offerings with The Tipsy Horseshoe, featuring a curated selection of beer, wine, exclusive cocktails, and other beverages available for purchase on board. Each car offers its own atmosphere — from breezy views in the Open Air Coach to the comfort of Deluxe Coach seating, or the elegance of First Class with complimentary appetizers and refreshments.
With no destination other than the joy of the ride itself, riding behind our diesel locomotives on the Sunset & Suds is the perfect way to unwind, toast to good company, and savor the soothing rhythm of the rails as the day turns to night.

ACCOMMODATIONS ABOARD THE SUGAR EXPRESS
Our excursion train is comprised of historic passenger cars dating from the early 1900s to the mid-1950s, including First Class observation and lounge cars, table cars, deluxe coaches, and open-air cars. You can tour our train set by clicking here or by viewing the available cars on the booking page.
All cars are climate-controlled, except for the open-air class, and each trip features onboard restrooms. Please note that, due to its historic configuration, Sugar Express is not ADA-accessible.
PARKING & BOARDING FOR THE SUGAR EXPRESS SPRITZER
The Sugar Express Spritzer boards 165 Basilan Crescent, Clewiston, Florida 33440. Please only park and board where there is posted signage and arrive with plenty of time to park, check in, and board your train.
Our excursion train includes steep steps, narrow hallways and doorways, and small restrooms, which may present challenges for guests with limited mobility. Passengers should plan accordingly and contact us in advance to discuss any special needs or assistance.
Because of the unique railroad environment, all guests must wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Flip-flops, sandals, and high heels are not permitted. Boarding and detraining areas may have uneven surfaces, large gravel, and high steps, and walking is required at all locations. By purchasing tickets and attending, you agree to review and accept our Terms & Conditions.
