Step aboard a one-of-a-kind experience by chartering the Sugar Express for your group, organization, or special occasion. Whether you’re seeking a moving experience or a static event, your event is guaranteed to be a memorable one!
Departing from Clewiston, Sebring, or Lake Placid, your private train can be tailored to fit your vision — from scenic daytime excursions to elegant evening outings timed with the setting sun. Our total train capacity is just under 300 guests, but many cars can accommodate between 15 and 40 guests each.
As the train winds through South Central Florida’s sugarcane country, your guests will enjoy vintage passenger cars, a mix of open-air views and climate-controlled comfort, and the unforgettable sights and sounds of railroading at speed. With multiple cars to choose from, charters can include Deluxe Coach seating, First Class tables, or even the private car Clewiston, a lounge and observation space reserved exclusively for your party of up to 12.
Charter experiences can be paired with catering, bar service, and hospitality provided in partnership with local restaurants, breweries, and vendors. Whether you’re hosting a corporate outing, wedding party, fundraiser, or family celebration, a Sugar Express charter transforms any event into a rolling memory.
Select Sugar Express passenger cars can also be utilized for static events at our facility in Clewiston, including the Palmdale and Clewiston Pullman car.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Our excursion train is comprised of historic passenger cars dating from the early 1900s to the mid-1950s, including First Class observation and lounge cars, table cars, deluxe coaches, and open-air cars. You can tour our train set by clicking here.
All cars are climate-controlled, except for the open-air class, and each trip features onboard restrooms. Please note that, due to its historic configuration, Sugar Express is not ADA-accessible.
